Evaluasi Penggunaan Antibiotika Cefpirome Pada Pasien Rawat Inap Di Rumkital Dr. Ramelan Surabaya


Cefpirome is a fourth generation cephalosporin that its use should be
limited. Cefpirome has a broad antibacterial spectrum, resistance to betalactamase,
and rarely cause side effects that are widely used to treat some cases of
severe infection. This research is to evaluate the use of cefpirome based on the
criteria of rational drug use (awareness of side effects, appropriate patients,
appropriate indications, appropriate drug, and appropriate dosage regimentation).
Observations retrospectively using medical records of patients receiving
cefpirome during their treatment from April 2009 until March 2010. Data
collection was performed with a limited sample period. There were 29 patients
who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Cefpirome used in patients with a diagnosis of
DHF (44.83%), CKD (10.35%), DM (13.79%), and other diagnoses. Cefpirome
be used either alone or in combination with other antibiotics. Only 10.34%
patients had received cefpirome therapy rationally
